The Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition at Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University is seeking a junior or early mid-career faculty to join our team.
The Center for Healthy Weight and Nutrition offers a comprehensive approach to weight management in children. Our initiatives and programs focus on prevention, advocacy, medical and surgical management of childhood obesity in addition to a strong research component. The Center is staffed with physicians, nurse practitioners, dietitians, behavioral psychologists, recreation specialists, athletic trainers, social workers, nursing and administrative staff.
The ideal candidate for this position will be BC/BE in General Pediatrics, Adolescent Medicine, Pediatric Endocrinology or Preventive Cardiology with a strong interest and/or prior experience in clinical research, teaching, advocacy or project management related to childhood obesity. Responsibilities will include providing care in the bariatric and medical clinics, teaching and participating in our many projects.

The Heart Center (THC) at Nationwide Children's Hospital, pediatric teaching facility for The Ohio State University in Columbus Ohio, is recruiting a full-time attending faculty member with expertise in Pediatric Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging. Applicants must be BC/BE in pediatrics and cardiology. The Cardiac MRI/CT service performs over 350 studies per year, and the team includes 3 dedicated pediatric radiologists and 1 pediatric cardiologist. The NCH Echocardiography Laboratory is ICAEL accredited and the team includes 7 attending physicians and 10 sonographers. The NCH Echocardiography Laboratory performs more than 11,000 studies annually using state-of-the-art transthoracic, transesophageal, fetal, intracardiac, intravascular, strain, and 3D techniques. The program includes a 4th year Advanced Noninvasive Cardiac Imaging fellowship, in addition to pediatric and combined pediatric-adult cardiology fellowship programs. We are directly linked to our Center for Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Research, which has an NIH T-32 training grant. THC has extensive and active programs in adult congenital heart disease, hybrid strategy, cardiac intensive care, translational and outcomes research, interventional catheterization, cardiovascular surgery and outreach clinics. Current annual clinical metrics for THC includes: 450 cardiothoracic surgeries, 600 catheterizations, 10,000+ cardiology outpatient visits. The candidate would participate in programmatic growth encompassing all aspects of the Heart Center’s mission including clinical service, education and research.

The Division of Endocrinology at Nationwide Children's Hospital and the Department of Pediatrics at The Ohio State University is seeking two full-time pediatric endocrinologists at the associate professor or professor level.
Applicants must have completed a fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology and be board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology. The pediatric group is comprised of three full-time B/C physicians, and one mid-level. The optimal candidate would have conversational Spanish skills, strong communication skills, and be well-trained. The practice hours are 8a-7p Monday – Friday. Each provider works one evening (5-7p) per week, and receives an afternoon off in exchange. Call is 1:4 or 1:5, one night a week, and every fourth weekend. Physicians are eligible for bonuses in year one. In order to enable physicians to be most productive, each physician has a direct nurse and a support nurse. School loan forgiveness or incentive bonuses may be available. Physicians attend their patent's C-sections usually first thing in the morning. The physician on call covers unassigned deliveries. The hospital had 800 deliveries last fiscal year. There is a Level II nursery that provides care for premature newborns 32 weeks of gestation and full-term newborns with breathing difficulties, jaundice or other medical conditions.
