The Outpatient Pharmacy and Hospital Pharmacy prepare and dispense prescriptions for patients, hospital employees and medical staff. Specialized dispensing services include compounding medications for pediatric use, reviewing patients’ medication profiles and providing medication counseling for all patients with the use of easy-to-understand pictograms as part of the new Pediatric Health Literacy Program.
The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Pharmacy staff is committed to all customers, ensuring the right child receives the right medication in the right dose by the right route at the right time.

The Investigational Drug Service (IDS) is a function of the Department of Pharmacy and provides support to ensure the safety and efficiency of all clinical drug trials at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

*We previously listed compounding formulas for 50 mg/mL and 10 mg/mL. In order to continue standardization of oral compound concentrations in collaboration with pediatric hospitals throughout Ohio, Nationwide Children's recommends only compounding the 50mg/mL moving forward.
**Specific manufacturers are preferred for making a more uniform suspension.
