Outpatient Pharmacy Services

The Outpatient Pharmacy prepares and dispenses prescriptions for patients, hospital employees and medical staff.  Specialized dispensing services include compounding medications for pediatric use, reviewing patients’ medication profiles and providing medication counseling for all patients with the use of easy-to-understand pictograms as part of the new Pediatric Health Literacy Program.

The Nationwide Children’s Hospital Outpatient Care Center Pharmacy staff is committed to all customers, ensuring the right child receives the right medication in the right dose by the right route at the right time.

Mon. – Fri. 8:30 am – 11 pm
(Drop off until 10:30 pm)

Sat. Sun. and Major Holidays 10 am – 6 pm
(Drop off until 5:30 pm)

Investigational Drug Service (IDS)

The Investigational Drug Service (IDS) is a function of the Department of Pharmacy and provides support to ensure the safety and efficiency of all clinical drug trials at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.

The following formulas are provided for information purposes only and may not be routinely used at Nationwide Childrens Hospital. A compounded product should not be used if the product is available commercially.
