Sounds of Love :: Nationwide Children's Hospital

Sounds of Love

You are your baby's favorite singer.

Parents—you are your baby’s favorite singer in the world. Even if you don’t think you can sing, your babies do and they want to hear you. Nationwide Children’s Sounds of Love program can help.

Singing, talking, and reading to your baby in the right ways can:
  • Help your baby grow
  • Soothe your baby during stressful times
  • Increase opportunities for hearing and language development

How Sounds of Love Helps

One of the ways the Sounds of Love program can help is by recording your voice for your baby in case you can’t be at the bedside. The recordings are played for your baby at the right volume and for the right amount of time at each stage of their growth.

Research shows that babies spend less time in the hospital if they take part in these kinds of programs. This program is brought to you by our NICU music therapists with support from our family advisors.

Give your baby the benefits of hearing your voice now and through the day. Talk to your nurse about reaching out to the NICU Music Therapists.
