Columbus, OH - 8/1/2017

The 14th Annual Bull Run, presented by Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, will take place Aug. 19 at the McFerson Commons (Arch Park) in the Arena District. Since the event’s inception in 2004, the Bull Run has raised more than $880,000 for Nationwide Children’s Hospital. The Bull Run is the official training run for the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon and 1/2 Marathon.
Participants of all ages can partake in the superhero-themed Kid’s Fun Run, 5K, or 10K while raising funds for the Siblings Support Clubhouse and Ocean Room, a free “toy store” where surgery patients can pick a toy to play or cuddle with post-surgery, at Nationwide Children’s.
The Kid’s Fun Run will begin at 8:15 a.m., followed by the 5K (3.1 miles) and 10K (6.2 miles) races at 8:30 a.m.
Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. and fees are $15 per person for the Kid’s Fun Run, $35 per person for the 5K and $45 per person for the 10K race. All prices will increase by $5 starting August 6.
Participants will receive a vintage t-shirt and a unique participation medal. Food will be provided during the family-friendly activities before and after the race.
“We are truly grateful to have partners like Merrill Lynch and Bank of America. Because of their support, we are able to provide services like the Siblings Clubhouse and the Ocean Room to our families when they come to Nationwide Children’s for treatment and care,” said Amanda Dove, Director of Corporate Partnerships, Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation.
