Neurodiagnostics/EEG

The Neurodiagnostics Program provides testing of the brain, spinal cord and peripheral nervous system. The department provides routine and long-term EEG testing, Evoked Potentials, and Ambulatory EEG. The lab also works very closely with neurologists and the various departments of Nationwide Children’s Hospital to provide comprehensive services to patients with disease or injury of the nervous system.

Department Highlights

The Ohio State University & Children’s Hospital has a growth opportunity for a pediatric epileptologist who is interested in building an academic career as a key member of a well established epilepsy group. The epileptologist would be the third physician in the epilepsy program and the 10th pediatric neurologist in the division.


Program Highlights Include

  • 9 total Neurologists on staff

  • 4 of which are board certified Clinical Neurophysiologists

  • 2 of which are Epileptologists

  • Neuroscience's has a comprehensive team including two Neuroradiologists,
    Two Fellowships positions

  • Facilities include a 4 bed epilepsy monitoring unit as well as a 4 bed sleep lab

    Children's also has an established research focus in Neuroscience's with over $1million in funding thus far
    It has eight exam rooms and the following procedures were done in the lab last year:

  • EEG 3400

  • Sleep Studies 450

  • Spinal Cord Surgery Monitoring 150

  • Invasive epilepsy monitoring 5-10




  • This position offers someone an excellent opportunity to pursue clinical research interests because of the large and diverse population that the program serves.
