Neonatal Developmental Clinic

Medically compromised newborns often are at risk for developmental delays in growth, cognitive mental ability and motor skills. The Neonatal Developmental Clinic provides developmental screening for infants following their hospital stay in the NICU or NCSU.

Designed to work hand-in-hand with regular visits to the infant’s pediatrician, this clinic gathers progress and development data, and designs a plan to help patients catch up with their full-term peers. By evaluating these babies over a period of years, the clinic ensures that each child will receive the long-term care needed to reach his or her full potential.
