John R. Mytinger, MD, is an attending child neurologist at Nationwide Children’s and Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Neurology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric and child neurology residencies as well as his clinical neurophysiology and epilepsy fellowships at the University of Virginia. He has a special interest in infantile spasms and epileptic encephalopathy.

The Child Neurology Foundation honored John Mytinger, MD with the 2015 Infantile Spasms Heroes Award.
The award is given each year to a physician and his or her institution who has demonstrated outstanding care of patients living with infantile spasm.
