International
employees are welcomed and valued for the diversity and expertise they
bring to The Research Institute. To ensure a mutually productive and
valuable experience, key regulations and procedures must be followed
related to international staff employment.
Please note that the
Vice President of Research Administration and the Vice President for
Business Services are the ONLY authorized signers for international
paperwork. The Research Institute and the employee/student’s work
status could be jeopardized if any unauthorized faculty or staff member
signs the paperwork.
Green cards are approved on a
case by case basis considering the Foreign Nationals credentials,
length of employment, type of research, etc. They are only accepted
under exceptional circumstances.
