Government Relations

The Government Relations Department at Nationwide Children’s Hospital is here to support the mission of the institution which is that no child should be refused necessary care and attention for lack of ability to pay.

We accomplish this and strive to reach Nationwide Children’s vision of the creation of optimal health for every child in our community through:

• Fostering relationships with governmental organizations and officials

• Collaborating with public officials to develop child health policy

• Positioning Nationwide Children’s to receive public funding to advance child health

• Facilitating tours for public official and staff visits to Nationwide Children’s locations

• Educating employees and physicians on advocacy with public officials and facilitating interactions

• Providing speakers and resources on public policy

• Interacting with local, state, and national advocacy organizations
