Biography

Anup D. Patel, MD, is an attending pediatric neurologist at Nationwide Children’s and Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Neurology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed pediatric training at the University of South Florida, a child neurology residency at Vanderbilt University, and a clinical neurophysiology fellowship at Nationwide Children’s and The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is board certified in neurology with special qualifications in child neurology, neurophysiology, and epilepsy. He is the associate director of the Child Neurology Residency Program, an associate medical director for Partners for Kids, a physician coordinator for Medical Grand Rounds and director of the Complex Epilepsy Clinic. His clinical interests include quality improvement, complex epilepsy, and intraoperative monitoring.

  • Open-label, single-arm, multicenter, pharmacokinetic, safety, and efficacy study of adjunctive administration of brivaracetam in subjects from less than 1 month to greater than 16 years old with epilepsy, from UCB Pharma
  • A multicenter, open-label, dose-titration study investigating LCM oral solution as adjunctive therapy in children aged 1 month to 17 years with uncontrolled partial-onset seizures, from UCB Pharma
  • A multicenter, randomized, controlled, open-label study to evaluate the cognitive development effects and safety, and pharmacokinetics of adjunctive Rufinamide treatment in pediatric subjects 1 to less than 4 years of age with inadequately controlled Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, from Eisai pharmaceuticals
