Anesthesiology Fellowship Application & Selection :: Nationwide Children's Hospital

Anesthesiology Fellowship Application and Selection Process

The Nationwide Children's Hospital Pediatric Anesthesiology Fellowship has placed all four ACGME positions in the National Resident Matching Program.  Nationwide Children's also utilizes the Common Fellowship Application which can be found on the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia website.  A successful candidate will have passed the USMLE steps 1, 2, and 3 and be in position to complete an anesthesiology residency which would allow for entrance into the American Board of Anesthesiology certification process (or it’s equivalent.)  The candidate must also be able to apply for and obtain an Ohio State Medical training license.

The following pieces are required to apply:

  • Common Fellowship Application

  • Three letters of recommendation (one must be from either program director, chair, or pediatric anesthesiology attending)

  • Curriculum Vitae

  • Personal Statement

  • Copy of anesthesiology in-training exam scores

  • Copies of USMLE steps 1, 2, and 3 scores

  • Copy of medical school transcript and Deans Letter (original not required, but needs to be legible)

  • Passport size photograph
