Application and Selection Process

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and can be filled out online or requested through the Fellowship Coordinator. The application can be found on The Society for Pediatric Anesthesia website.

The fellow candidate's application will be regarded as complete upon receipt of a completed application and three letters of recommendation. The completed application will then be forwarded to the Education Committee, consisting of the Chief,the Vice-Chief, Director of Education, Assiociate Program Director, and the member at large, for review. Only with a positive recommendation of the Education Committee will the fellow candidate be invited for a personal interview with the faculty of the Department of Anesthesiology. The results of the personal interview, the completed application and the letters of recommendation are then presented to the faculty of the Department of Anesthesiology for consideration. A 2/3 YES vote of the Anesthesiology faculty is required to offer a prospective fellow candidate a fellowship position. Fellow candidates routinely matriculate in January and July.
