Alexander T. Rakowsky, MD

Alexander (Alex) T. Rakowsky, MD, is Director of Regulatory Affairs at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, where the majority of his time is spent as the Institutional Review Board Chair, and an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Rakowsky came to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in July 2004, after serving 11 years in the Public Health Service – eight years at the Federal Drug Administration and three at the National Institutes of Health. In addition, Dr. Rakowsky is involved in several other projects and initiatives dealing with the safe and ethical conduct of research at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. He is involved with several pediatric resident teaching activities and his clinical duties are at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Olentangy Primary Care Center, one of the resident teaching clinics, where he helps in the development of pediatric residents.
