For STAT testing after 4:00PM Mon-Fri, and on weekends, call 614-722-5364. This assay is used to quantitate coagulation Factor V. Testing for Factor V Mutation Analysis (i.e. Factor V Leiden) is a separate assay (LIS Code: FVPCR). Please indicate on the label the collection method, i.e. line draw with heparin, line draw without heparin, venipuncture. Also indicate whether or not the patient is on coumadin or heparin therapy. Centrifuge citrate tubes according to Lab policy, remove platelet-poor plasma, pool the plasma, aliquot and freeze. Send a minimum of two (2) aliquots of plasma.
