Comments

This assay is used to quantitate coagulation Factor II. Testing for Prothrombin (Factor II) mutation is a separate assay (LIS Code: F2PCR). Please indicate on the label the collection method, e.g. line draw with heparin, line draw without heparin, venipuncture. Also indicate if the patient is receiving Coumadin (Warfarin) therapy. Centrifuge citrate tubes according to Lab policy, remove platelet-poor plasma , pool the plasma, aliquot and freeze. Send a minimum of two (2) aliquots of plasma.
