This test is FDA cleared for specimens from the respiratory tract. Other specimens appropriate for diagnosis of TB will be tested but reported with a disclaimer. All samples should be sent to the microbiology lab for assessment of the need to perform AFB culture and for initial processing before shipment to ODH. Specimens should be less than 7 days old.
