Susan E. Hodge, DSc, has joined the Battelle Center for Mathematical Medicine as a principal investigator. Dr. Hodge has an international reputation in mathematical modeling in human genetics and genetic epidemiology. She has been involved in investigating the genetics of panic disorder, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis, pulmonary hypertension, and insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. In her methodological work, she has made advances in linkage analysis methodologies, association analysis, efficient genetic study design, ascertainment issues, genetic heterogeneity, genetic anticipation, the use of SNPs, population stratification and multipoint mapping.
