Brian F. Joy, MD, is a Pediatric Cardiologist and Cardiac Intensivist at The Heart Center at Nationwide Children's Hospital. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is the Director of Quality and Patient Safety in the Heart Center. Dr. Joy received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota. After completing his residency at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, he completed his fellowship training at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago in both pediatric cardiology and pediatric critical care medicine. He is board certified in Pediatrics, Pediatric Critical Care and Pediatric Cardiology. Dr. Joy’s special interests include cardiac intensive care, management of children with single ventricle heart defects, and feeding in infants with complex congenital heart disease. Dr. Joy is a member of the Single Ventricle Team. In addition to supervising a vast array of quality improvement initiatives within the Heart Center, he is co-chair of the Heart Center Research Resource Committee and is a member of the Institutional Review Board at Nationwide Children’s Hospital.
