Comments

Vitamin D, 25 Hydroxy is used to diagnose vitamin D deficiency or sufficiency, and to assess nutritional status. If you are looking to evaluate rickets or renal failure then refer to test XVDDI (Vitamin D 1, 25 Dihydroxy). Serum must be separated from cells within 45 minutes of collection. Serum samples from outside the hospital may be sent refrigerated if it is with the approved time. Minimum volume does not permit repeat analysis.
