Comments

25-Hydroxy vitamin D is used to measure vitamin D status; it includes results for total 25-hydroxy vitamin D2 and 25-hydroxy vitamin D3. If you are looking to evaluate rickets or renal failure then refer to test XVDDI (Vitamin D 1, 25 Dihydroxy).

Serum must be separated from cells within 45 minutes of collection. Serum samples from outside the hospital may be sent refrigerated if it is with the approved time.
