  • Use of urine preservative
  • Collected in diaper or cotton balls

Comments

Specimens not expected to arrive for testing within 2 hours must be refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Those specimens greater that 12 hours but less than 24 hours will be tested with a comment stating "Urine more than 12 hours old. Results may be adversely affected." Urines received more than 24 hours after collection will be rejected. Indicate source of collection (e.g. "clean catch", "cath") If submitting urine collected on cotton balls, please order Urine Strip Only (test code UAS). No microscopic results can be performed on this sample type.
