  • Collected in tube with gel separator
  • Broken slides
  • Damaged smear
  • Wrong collection tube
  • Clotted specimen
  • Insufficient slides for proper evaluation of cellular reaction

Comments

A minimum of 6 slides is required for all cytochemical stains to be performed. If submitting slides, please contact the lab at 614-722-5482. Please provide laboratory findings and clinical history when submitting specimen for testing. The following may be submitted for testing: Whole blood collected in EDTA or Heparin, air-dried peripheral blood smears, bone marrow films, cytospin preparations of Ficoll/LSM separated cellular suspensions. Test(s) will include interpretation by Pathologist, with additional charges billed from Pediatric Pathology Associates (PPAC).
