Reasons for Rejection

  • Gross hemolysis
  • Not received at proper temperature
  • Not received within specified time frame

Comments

Grossly hemolyzed specimens will be rejected. Results of specimens having moderate hemolysis will be reported with a comment warning that results may be falsely elevated.
