Collection Staff Instructions:

For 24 hr. urine collection: At beginning of collection have patient void and discard this urine. Begin timing collection at this point and collect all urine until the end of the collection period. Have patient void and save urine at the final collection period. Random samples also acceptable. Sample should be protected from light and refrigerated for collection, storage and transport to the send out lab.
