  • Not received within specified time frame

Comments

Specimens not expected to arrive for testing within 2 hours must be refrigerated (for up to 24 hours) or frozen (up to 1 week). Those refrigerated specimens greater than 12 hours but less than 24 hours will be tested with a comment stating "Urine more than 12 hours old. Results may be adversely affected." Refrigerated urines received more than 24 hours after collection will be rejected.
