Aid in evaluation of secondary response failure to infliximab therapy. Patient Prep: Collect specimens before infliximab treatment.

The Infusion Clinic will wait for notice from the sendout lab as to if the specimen is acceptable or not. If it is not acceptable they will redraw but must do so before they begin infusion therapy. The Infusion Clinic will include a label with the phone number and employee information on it with the specimen. Process this specimen as STAT. An acceptable specimen must not be contaminated, lipemic, icteric, or hemolyzed.
