  • Not received within specified time frame
  • Not received at proper temperature

Comments

Includes direct gram stain when appropriate and with sufficient quantity of sample. Specific specimen site is required for proper specimen handling. Use the charcoal culture swab for any specimen when Neisseria gonnorhoeae is suspected/ possible. Gram stain not performed from charcoal swab.
