Specimen Preparation

  • Centrifuge within 2 hours, remove plasma/serum then transfer to a Laboratory Services provided Trace Element-Free Transport Tube and freeze

  • Capillary specimen
  • Wrong collection tube

Comments

Specimen must be venipuncture, in Royal Blue Top tube (plain or EDTA) to avoid potential contamination. Testing is performed on Mondays and Thursdays. Samples must be received in testing lab by 1300 on days when testing is performed. Testing is not performed on national holidays.
