Comments

This test is used to determine antibody production against factor concentrate by patients with hemophilia. Indicate which coagulation factor should be tested (e.g. VIII, IX) for inhibitor status. Heparin present in the sample may be a cause for rejection of the sample. Collect by venipuncture whenever possible. Requires two 2.7 mL blue top collection tubes. Centrifuge citrate tubes according to Lab policy, remove platelet-poor plasma, pool the plasma, aliquot and freeze.
