Comments

This test is comprised of both a genetic test for D2D8 (Prometheus Celiac Genetics) and serology (Prometheus Celiac Serology) for the celiac panel at the reference lab. This test requires both a red top (or gold top) AND 4 mL EDTA (purple top). Minimum volume will not allow for repeat testing.

Per the reference lab, if the genetic testing for HLA-DQ2/DQ8 has been done in the patient's past by any physician, it will not be repeated. They will only run the serology portion of the test. This test is not the same as requests for Serology Celiac Panel. Laboratory Services does not have a designated celiac panel, but the individual test should be ordered.
