Comments

MRD (minimally residual disease) testing for B-Cell ALL is performed on day 29 of treatment (end of induction), end of consolidation, for relapses or re-evaluation of B-Cell ALL.The COG (Children's Oncology Group) panel is utilized. 3-4ml of bone marrow in EDTA (purple) or Sodium Heparin (no gel) is required for testing.  Testing is performed Monday through Friday but not on national holidays.  Friday samples should be received in the laboratory before 1pm.  If collection/receipt will be after 1pm on Friday, please call Flow cytometry (614-722-5482) for notification.  On-call staff will perform testing outside of regular department hours.  Please call Flow Cytometry with any questions. An additional charge from PPAC (Pediatric Pathology Associates) will be billed for the interpretation.
