Samir Kahwash, MD, is Vice-Chair for Education in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, Medical Director of Hematopathology Services, a Pathologist in the Sections of Clinical and Anatomic Pathology at Nationwide Children's Hospital and a Professor of Clinical Pathology at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He is the Program Director of pediatric pathology fellowship at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
His clinical interests include pediatric lymphomas and leukemias, and pathology education. He is a co-investigator in the Children's Oncology Group (COG) Reference Lab for the Study of Pediatric ALL. He is a reviewer of COG Phase III trial of (myelotarg) treatment for AML in children and young adults (AAML0531) and also a reviewer for COG AAML1031. He is coinvestigator for neuroblastoma pathology review (COG 5285061) and reviewer for major COG clinical trials on ALL, APL and JMML.
