Ross M. Maltz, MD

Biography

Ross M. Maltz MD, is an attending pediatric gastroenterologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, part of the Inflammatory Bowel Disease center, and an assistant professor of clinical pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Maltz’s clinical interest involves all aspects of pediatric gastroenterology with a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease in particular very early onset inflammatory bowel disease.  As a principal investigator in the Center for Microbial Pathogenesis at The Research Institute at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, he conducts basic science research studying the impact of stressor exposure has on inflammation and the microbiome. Dr. Maltz received the prestigious 2016 NASPGHAN Foundation Fellow to Faculty Transition Award in Inflammatory Bowel Disease to support his work on the effect of stressor exposure in inflammatory bowel disease.
