Shelly Hoffman Appointed Director of Corporate Communication at Nationwide Childrens Hospital

Shelly Hoffman was recently appointed director of corporate communication at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. Hoffman brings a wealth of experience to this role on the marketing and public relations team at the hospital.

Hoffman comes from The Ohio State University where she served for nearly eight years in various communication and public relations leadership roles and made significant contributions to the University’s internal and external communication and visibility. Most recently she served as the assistant vice president for strategic issues management. She also managed media relations for the university.

Prior to joining Ohio State, Hoffman served as director of corporate communication at Nationwide Insurance where she was responsible for executive communications, media relations, issues management and employee communications. She has also worked in state government with the Office of Secretary of State.

Her extensive experience will be an asset as the Marketing and Public Relations department at Nationwide Children’s looks at the most effective strategies for communicating and connecting staff within our growing organization.

Hoffman is a graduate of Ohio State. She and her husband, Bob, reside in Bexley, Ohio with their teenage son and daughter.
