Neonatology Fellowship Training and Experience

The fellowship curriculum encompasses the areas of clinical medicine, research, and career development, and supports our mission to train the next generation of academic neonatologists. The academic year is divided into 13 4-week blocks in accordance with ACGME training requirements.

Fellows are encouraged to individualize their training in a variety of ways. Fellows can opt-in to customized clinical experiences relevant to their interests, such as rotations with palliative care or specialized neonatal outpatient follow-up clinics (congenital infections, CHD, neo-nephrology). Fellows are supported in pursuing funded Master’s degrees at The Ohio State University (ex. Biomedical Education, MPH). Current and past fellows have also pursued dual training in fields such as Infectious Disease and Quality & Safety Leadership.
