Stop Malicious Emails

Be mindful when receiving emails from external sources. At Nationwide Children's, IS works to stop potential phishing attempts, but beware of opening an email or attachment, or clicking a link when you do not know the sender. Use the following tips when evaluating whether or not your emails are safe.

  • If you have a Nationwide Children's email address, look for the “External Email” flag at the top of your message.
  • Review the “From” email address. Do you recognize the domain?
  • Read the message. Do you notice unusual grammar or misspellings?
