Make Safe Happen App Receives 2017 Appy Award in Educational/Family/Kids Category

(From the June 2017 issue of Research Now)

The Make Safe Happen app was recently announced the winner in the Educational/Family/Kids category at the 2017 Appy Awards. The app is owned by Nationwide Children's Hospital and was developed by safety experts in the Center for Injury Research and Policy in The Research Institute. The Make Safe Happen app is funded by a grant from the Nationwide Foundation, with additional financial support from Nationwide.

The goal of the app is to make homes safer for children. Users can learn as they go with room-by-room safety checklists and links to recommended safety products, as well as set reminders for tasks and track their progress.
