Our Care Team

At Nationwide Children's Hospital, our entire Hospice team works together in their unique roles along side of parents and families to help provide the best possible care.

The Care Team

Medical Director: Guides the team, consults with the child’s primary physician, assists with medical and ethical issues.

Nurses: Assist with pain control, symptom management and quality of life.

Social Workers: Provide counseling, family support and community referrals.

Chaplain: Provides spiritual counseling, assists with funeral planning.

Pharmacist: Provides advice and management regarding drug therapies.

Volunteers: Provide support to patients, siblings and parents.

Child Life Specialist: Provides effective coping through play, preparation, education and self-expression activities.

Massage Therapist: Provides healing and relaxation for patients.

Music Therapy: Facilitates music experiences to promote expression, memory making, and well-being.
