Social Workers

At The Heart Center, social workers are included in the interdisciplinary health care team. The social worker’s role is to assist families with the social, emotional and financial issues of having a family member with a heart condition. Our social workers can provide information about the hospital, link families with community resources, enroll families in insurance plans, and assist with transportation and housing. Social workers also serve as advocates for the patient and family and address any additional needs that may be identified by the family or the Heart Center staff. You can discuss any concerns related to the psychological, practical or social well-being of the patient or family with the Heart Center social workers.
