Olivia Thomas, MD, serves as Medical Director of the Reach Out and Read® Program at Nationwide Children’s. She is Chief of the Section of Ambulatory Pediatrics at Nationwide Children’s and Clinical Professor of Pediatrics in The Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. Dr. Thomas is responsible for the implementation of Reach Out and Read® and continues to be actively involved in all aspects of program operations.

As Health Literacy Program Coordinator for Nationwide Children's Hospital, Inc., Rekha’s duties include program management of the Reach Out and Read® Program and supporting of Nationwide Children’s organizational health literacy infrastructure. She is actively involved in maintaining Nationwide Children’s as a health literate organization supporting parental health literacy, early childhood literacy and language development. Rekha is a two time graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Health Behavior and Health Education and Master’s Business Operational Excellence (MBOE). Her favorite line from a children’s book is “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn the more places you’ll go.” - Dr. Seuss, I Can Read with My Eyes Shut!

In her role she will support our primary care centers operations to maintain high quality programing. Noelle earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Urban Studies from the University of Cincinnati, and a Master’s of Public Administration from The Ohio State University. Her favorite children’s books are the Little Critter series by Mercer Mayer and Princess Hair by Sharee Miller, and she has a special appreciation for children’s books that celebrate the beautiful diversity in our world.

In her role, Kirsten supplies all Reach Out and Read sites with books and resources.  She assists with training sessions and helps manage additional time-sensitive tasks.  Kirsten has a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communications from Purdue University and brings logistics experience to the Reach Out and Read team.  She is the mother of two and loved reading all of the Sandra Boynton books and Skippyjon Jones to them.  Kirsten’s favorite book when she was growing up was Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein.

Linda Baus is the Program’s Content Specialist.  She oversees the Book Drives and Book Donations.  She is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Elementary Education; she also holds a Master’s Degree in Gifted Education from Ashland University.  She is a former teacher and is dedicated to the importance of reading with children. One of Linda’s favorite children’s books is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein and a favorite adult book is Little Women by Louisa May Alcott.
