In the morning, talk about something you are excited about for that day.

Helping children learn to talk about their thoughts, feelings and experiences is one thing can help identify when a child may be struggling. And when you talk about things they are excited by, or are handling well, you help build social and emotional resiliency that may help buffer them from future challenges.
