For years, the Harlem Globetrotters have been championing issues that impact children and families. Now they are extending that commitment through support of children’s mental health – one of the most challenging issues facing youth today
Through the Globetrotters Fund at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, they will champion the cause of children’s mental health advocacy, education and research. It will specifically support:
- Advocacy to break mental health stigmas for courageous patients and families
- Mental health education for schools and parents across America
- Fundraising for mental health research, which is significantly underfunded
The need is great. One in five children lives with a mental illness. The On Our Sleeves™ movement is on a national mission to break the silence and stigma surrounding children's mental health issues. Children do not wear their thoughts on their sleeves, so it's up to caring adults to help give them a voice.
Join the Harlem Globetrotters and Nationwide Children’s Hospital in the movement to transform children’s mental health.
