Shamlal Mangray, MBBS, is the new section chief of Anatomic Pathology at Nationwide Children’s Hospital. For the past 14 years, Dr. Mangray was on the faculty of Rhode Island Hospital and the Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Providence, RI, serving as director of Pediatric and Autopsy Pathology. Dr. Mangray is a graduate of the University of the West Indies Medical School, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago. He completed residency in pathology and fellowship in pediatric pathology at Brown, and a fellowship in surgical pathology and cytopathology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, Nashville, TN. His clinical interests include tumor pathology, specifically integration of ancillary testing, in particular molecular techniques for diagnosis and treatment of patients. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Society for Pediatric Pathologists.
