Roshini Abraham, PhD, is the associate chief of Academic Affairs and founding director of the Diagnostic Immunology Laboratory in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Previously, Dr. Abraham was the founding director of the Cellular and Molecular Immunology Laboratory at the Mayo Clinic and professor of Medicine, and Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine.
Dr. Abraham received her PhD in Immunology from the National Institute of Immunology, New Delhi, India, and completed post-doctoral fellowships in Immunology, and Clinical Immunology and Biochemistry at the Mayo Clinic. She is a diplomat of the American Board of Medical Laboratory Immunology and a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology. She is the current president of the Clinical Immunology Society and has been active in the field of clinical diagnostic immunology, developing flow cytometry assays for immunodeficiencies and immune monitoring in post-transplant settings, and molecular immunology testing including next generation sequencing assays for primary immunodeficiencies and immune dysegulatory diseases.
