Nationwide Children's Doctor Named Pediatrician of the Year

Jonathan Price, MD, FAAP

The Ohio Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics honored Nationwide Children’s Hospital physician Jonathan Price, MD, FAAP, as the Outstanding Pediatrician of the Year. The award recognizes a pediatrician for distinguished achievement and outstanding contribution to the advancement of pediatric care and education for both patients and other physicians in Ohio and across the country.

Dr. Price is a member of Emergency Medicine at Nationwide Children’s and also serves as the Medical Director of the Interdisciplinary Feeding Evaluation Clinic. He joined the team at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in 1986.

“Dr. Price is an outstanding pediatrician, advocate and relationship builder,” said Melissa Wervey Arnold, CEO of the Ohio AAP. “His contribution to the business of pediatrics and Ohio’s children is highly admirable and an inspiration to all pediatricians who have been impacted by his work.”

Jacquelyn Doxie King, PhD, Receives Early Career Psychologist Award for Excellence

Jacquelyn Doxie King, PhD, a pediatric psychologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, was awarded the 2021 Ohio Psychological Association (OPA) Early Career Psychologist Award for Excellence in Service and Professional Practice.

The OPA Early Career Psychologist Award honors early career psychologists who make exceptional professional practice contributions in their communities and/or professional psychology organizations.

Dr. Doxie King is a supervisor and mentor to students at Nationwide Children’s in the pediatric psychology and neuropsychology department. She volunteers a significant amount of time toward diversity, equity and inclusion efforts at Nationwide Children’s. Dr. Doxie King’s contributions expand beyond the hospital and include national efforts for advocacy around child mental health, health equity and racial equality.
