Dr. Suman Adhikari wanted to refer a patient to Neurosurgery and was going to refer to a local hospital but got frustrated when he was directed through multiple phone trees and phone transfers without getting to talk to an attending. He switched to Nationwide Children’s Hospital when he called Physician Direct Connect (PDC) and was immediately put on with a Neurosurgery attending and given quick direction and assistance. The patient was scheduled and seen the next day. Dr. Adhikari convinced mom that the travel was worth it due to the superior service he received when referring her child, and mom has been thrilled with the care they received at that appointment. KUDOS to PDC and to Neurosurgery for making this experience so seamless and delivering the highest in customer service and stellar patient care.
