Ujjwal Ramtekkar, MD, MPE, MBA, joined the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health at Nationwide Children's Hospital and Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at The Ohio State University. He also joins Partners For Kids as an associate medical director, where he will work to develop an integrated primary care – behavioral health model as a leading priority.
Dr. Ramtekkar comes to Nationwide Children’s from Missouri, where he served as the physician director of Specialty Clinics and Telehealth Outreach for Compass Health Network in Saint Louis and adjunct assistant professor of Psychiatry for University of Missouri School of Medicine in Columbia. His breadth of experience in pediatric behavioral health includes co-leadership of Project ECHO – a learning collaborative for integrated care in a primary care setting.
Dr. Ramtekkar completed his medical education at Government Medical College and Super Specialty Hospital in Nagpur, India. He completed Master of Psychiatric Epidemiology (MPE) at Washington University, Saint Louis, where he also completed his Psychiatry residency. He completed a clinical fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry at Boston Children’s Hospital, and he received his Executive MBA from Marysville University in Saint Louis. He is board certified in both General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
