Sreekanth Viswanathan, MD, received his medical degree from Govt. Medical College, Calicut, India. He completed residencies in pediatrics at MetroHealth Medical Center, Cleveland, Ohio, and the Institute of Child Health and Hospital for Children, Madras Medical College, Chennai, India. He served his fellowship in neonatology at MetroHealth Medical Center and Cleveland Clinic, both in Cleveland, Ohio. He also holds a master’s degree in clinical research from Case Western Reserve University. He is board certified in pediatrics and neonatology. Prior to joining the Nationwide Children's Hospital staff in 2016, Dr. Viswanathan was Staff Neonatologist in Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital, Cleveland. Dr. Viswanathan has published research papers in leading medical journals and presented at more than a dozen medical conferences and meetings in India and the United States. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Dysphagia Research Society, and American Neurogastroenterology and Motility Society.
His research interests include gastrointestinal motility, neonatal dysphagia, necrotizing entrocolitis and neonatal nutrition. He is co-investigator in Neonatal and Infant Feeding Disorders (NIFD) Program at Nationwide Children's Hospital.
