Rohan Thompson, MD, is a member of the Section of Pulmonary Medicine and Sleep Medicine at Nationwide Children's Hospital and a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics at The Ohio State University College of Medicine. Dr. Thompson is Medical Director of the CF Newborn Screening and Infant CF Care Program, and one of two pulmonary physicians involved in the combined Pulmonary-Sickle Cell Clinic. His clinical interests include the evaluation and management of infants, children and adolescents with a variety of respiratory diseases with a special emphasis on asthma, cystic fibrosis, cystic fibrosis newborn screening, newborn cystic fibrosis care, sickle cell disease and pediatric sleep medicine. He is involved in teaching medical professionals at varying levels about pediatric pulmonary, pediatric and young adult sleep care and physician development courses from the medical school. His research interests include cystic fibrosis improvements in care, infant cystic fibrosis care, parental mental health and its effect on CF care, pulmonary disease in sickle cell patients, sleep disordered breathing and narcolepsy.
