Melissa Winterhalter, MD, is a pediatrician at the Primary Care Clinics at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the Ohio State University College of Medicine and Public Health. She graduated from the Medical College of Ohio and completed her residency at Nationwide Children’s. Dr. Melissa has a strong interest in education. She currently works with both medical students and resident physicians as preceptor, mentor and coach across different programs. In addition, she can be found on the 700 Children’s Blog and the Nationwide Children’s Facebook page discussing public health topics. She has an interest in safe sleep and serves as the Ambulatory Medicine Safe Sleep Media team co-chair. She is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and is a member of the AOA medical Honor Society.
