Biography
Lura Keating is the Clinical Leader for the Hearing Impaired and Cochlear Implant programs and has practiced nursing since 1991. Here previous nursing background before coming to Nationwide Children's Hospital was in neonatology. She came to Nationwide Children’s Hospital in 2005 and has grown her role in the Otolaryngology department to become the Clinical Leader for the Hearing Impaired Program. She is also a member of the Cochlear Implant team. She has been working with hearing impaired children since 2007 and has a special focus on the immunization status of all Cochlear Implant patients to assure they are all protected against pneumococcal infections. Lura has an additional focus on bringing hearing clinic programs and services to off sites to increase accessibility to the pediatric hearing impaired population.
