Biography

Leah Vance Utset, MD is an academic general pediatrician and the Medical Director of the Nationwide Children's Hospital Primary Care Research Network (PCRN). The PCRN is a consortium of pediatric primary care practices, focused on discoveries to improve the health and wellbeing of patients and families through research on common conditions and services occurring in pediatric primary care. Dr. Utset's role as Medical Director of the PCRN allows her to work in partnership with general pediatricians, pediatrics subspecialists, scientists, patients and families in fostering primary care-centered research that will help pediatricians and policy makers make informed decisions about the organization and provision of primary care services for children.

Dr. Utset also provides direct patient care at Nationwide Children's Downtown Primary Care Center and is a teaching attending for pediatric residents at the Nationwide Children's Downtown Primary Care Center. 

Dr. Utset has a wide array of research and clinical interests including sleep disorders and sleep hygiene in children and adolescents, birth control access in adolescents, and social media use for parenting information in parents of young children.
